Ooops, I appear to have bought two guitars in 24 hours. I was looking for a beater for camping and sofa noodling and decided on this little Recording King RP-06. It's a spruce/lam hog combo and it's remarkable for the money. It gives my all solid englemann pruce and rosewood ROS-627 a run for its money. The neck is a delight to play and, well, I love it. 

 

Next up is another Faith. I've had two of their guitars before and the opportunity came up to pick up one of the Naked Venus small bodied acoustic for next to nothing and I couldn't refuse. I pick it up tomorrow so can't post pics, but I know these are lovely - the one in my local PMT was my favourite sounded guitar.

Very nice compact shape and a lovely bit of spruce on the top with that darker grain in the middle.  I've often wanted one of the "parlour" type acoustics.   Doesn't look like a beater though!

Beater on price - £160 - but for time and playability it's excellent. Nice 45mm but too which works well on a parlour.
