Another noob question.. .

If like to dabble in IRs for the helix. Any recommendations for good/useable free ones?

The Line6-commissioned Allure ones are good

Celestion have a good free one

Ownhammer do a free one, as do Redwirez iirc

With the free ones 'good' depends on whether or not you have use for a Mesa 4x12, Friedman 2x12 and so on really, as they are often lots of variations of a single cab

(although the Line6 pack is a nice variety)

But also, check out this guy's video on ways to use the features built-in to the stock cabs to get some nicer sounds :

I'd honestly just buy the Ownhammer Core Tone Bundle and use that. Has pretty much every common base sorted and is laid out in a logical manner.

I gave up on IR's the stock cabs are perfectly good enough IMO

I don't know if these are still up (can't check on my iPad) but here are more than you would ever need
I find that stock cabs perfectly useable and convenient especially the dual can for stereo running
