Well, today, I'm pleased to say that the Free Guitar we are giving away to one supportive member of tFB - by supportive I mean someone who has chipped in a few bob to keep the lights on - is ready and able...

As the last thing any one of us needs to hear is another drum roll, instead I'll sneakily add a few fotos in a slo-mo striptease...

For the record, it has:

1. A wooden body made by @TTony (maybe he'll remind me of the wood)

2. A wooden neck, maple, with a wooden bit on top, rosewood and some frets

3. A Callagham Bridge and very zingy it is too

4. Six whole Sperzel Trim-Lok Tuners

5. A Corroded bronze and copper top

6. A Mojo Teisco style Gold Foil Pickup at the Neck

7. A Mojo Hot Telecaster bridge pickup

8. A Mojo wiring loom (CTS, Switchcraft, PIO etc.

9. A tweedy hardcase to call home....

The draw will apparently take place at The Great British Guitar Show in Brum - I'm sure TTony will divulge the gen on that one....

Yes, it is rather lively. Has a lot of sustain - the gold foils tend to anyway, but the tele pickup does as well - and it is all quite zingy, which might be the  bridge which rings like a bell.

Unsurprisingly it sounds quite Tele-ish

What will surprise you is that it doesn't feel that heavy.

What won't surprise you is that I took the fotos  before I noticed that one of the saddles is on back-to-twosted (ahem).

It has a bronze smothered back and a rather battered looking bronze and copper headstock - both of which will go greeny blue over time - along with a logo plate thing hand cut and etched by Custom Cool Etch....

Cheers @Deadman - the action is a bit higher than I'd like as the Gold Foil is higher than I, err, planned, but it sounds pretty cool. I can't make my mind up about the sound of the bridge, it very much rings and I'm a bit of a luddite for Teles, I guess... It gives brilliant sustain though.

Quite chuffed with the finish, and the back and headstock will corrode over time which will be nice too

Still, it is meant to look like a wreck and I'm the man for that job if nowt else

That logo is stunning, Jooky.  Really, really nice.  

Fingers crossed, and such a great gesture to all involved in making it happen.

It's OK, I can confirm the guitar still works, however shonky a player you are. I've put a lot into the testing of that
