Yeah, the hockey stick is a love/hate thing for a lot of people. I was originally planning to build a XII but got my hands on the spalted maple first and didn't think that would look good as an XII style body. Works as a tele though

It's a different piece yes, inlaid. It's a deliberate feature, not in any way put there to disguise the fact that there was routing accident. No, not at all

I don't mind the hockey stick, I think all 12 strings headstocks are kind of hideous but it is a necessary evil.
The body is absolutely stunning.
