Funeral Gig!!

What's Hot
At short notice my band have been asked to play at a wake. We're covers band and they must want to have a bit of a knees-up as they wouldn't book us in the first place. However it feels a little... uncomfortable.

Mrs Fred gave me an icy stare when I suggested that I dress as the grim reaper. I've worn various costumes playing at that venue and it's becoming a bit of s 'thing' for me now.

Suggestions on band etiquette and possible songs to cover please!

  • We do a couple of Jam songs so 'going Underground' is a good shout and 'Ghost town' is a song that keeps popping up on our 'to do' list so maybe we should just get on with it  =)

    Stairway To Heaven.

Probably the only time you'll ever get to play it outside a Zep tribute band…

    Or anything by HIM.

We do Ghost Town, clears a dance floor like you wouldn't believe.
If you can find the Dead Sixties version ( ooh, another band to cover for this gig...) on YouTube that's more guitar oriented and a bit more uptempo. They do however miss out a section and repeat the first verse for the second. Other than that probably the one to go for.
