patch bay insert?

So, I built my own patch bay thingy so that I plug my guitar and my amp in on the same corner of my pedalboard.

I currently have two spare jacks (Pairs). What I want to do is have an option so that I can put my looper pedal into the middle of my chain for when I want to use it. I could do it now by simply putting a patch cable in when I'm not using the looper, but I was thinking that changing one if the jacks to a switching jack so that I didn't have to birthed l bother patching it when the looper wasn't connected.

Does anyone know how I would do this?

I'm not even sure if I've explained this week at all...

You need a patch bay that is normalled or half-normalled, depending on your requirements.
