Just rewatched "Searching fur Sugar Man" ...recommend me something else

What's Hot
Searching for Sugar Man is hands down my favorite music related documentary ever. In fact, it's probably up there with the best of any genre.

I've watched Pearl Jam: 20 a few times and like that a lot too but I'm interested if anything can get close to the Rodriguez story for the sheer levels of unbelievable! What an incredible story!

Any other recommendations?

  • Well given the tragic news of Charles Bradley passing this weekend, i reccomend his documentary 'soul of America ' highly enough.

His life story is truly amazing, and it is a great doc, fantastic music throughout, and impossible not to enjoy.

The hardships that man went through to make it - aged 62. Mind blowing.

  • The Foos Sonic Highways (I think) is quite a decent series where they record at different studios throughout the US and they go through it's history and artists associated with it.

  • The Other One, about the grateful dead and more specifically, Bob Weir is absolutely cool and delves a bit into Neal Cassady  and the Acid Tests. Another absolute must see is Festival Express - visionary guys, to have filmed it back in 1970 so well - understanding then the significance of the event.
