MJW 2x10 cabinet - SOLD

MJW Bantam 18 Watt head and 2x10 cabinet.

Beautiful amp and cab I bought from @juansolo about 6 months ago.  I've used it weekly for recording and rehearsal since then, but I'm building a Tweed Deluxe for the next project, so this is up for sale.  The head and cab look like they were made to go together and work together perfect, but the cabinet was actually from John's Princeton, it just so happens it is pretty much the same colour as the cab.  I can sell separate, postage would only be possible with the head however.

The cab has 2x10 Eminence Alnico speakers and is a decent size, which gives a big sound and good bottom end.

No, just master volume.  It has Gain, Volume, Tone and a fat switch, (which naturally I kept on permanently, because fatter is better ;-)

Needless to say the prices are bloody good for these! That cab is a thing of legend, just sounds f**king awesome.

Got to admit, I'm having 2nd thoughts.  Just heard for the first time a live recording session we did and it sounds amazing.  I think tomorrow I'm going to have a good think to see if there is any other way to fund my Deluxe build.

Hi Chris, yes, very well.  I use it with a Timmy or my Helix for boost / additional drive.

We’re losing our studio, looked like we’d found a way forward so I was going to keep this down there but it’s not worked out.

how clean does it stay at 'gigging' volume

Yeah it’s based on an 18 watter.  I had a dominator MK3 and it’s in that ballpark, but punchier, with a bit more headroom and chime.   The cab helps as it’s a decent size with more solid lows than the 1x12 WEM.  Has worked well in a few bands I’ve been in, no volume issues.  Although, the usual caveat, if you want loud clean cleans, this is not the right circuit.
