    One too many P90s.
Colour is a bit 'statement' for me, but he's not known for his colour taste on signature guitars...

  • Love the dude, dont love this guitar though. The reissue sg he plays a lot or the vintage casino for me.

I liked his sig Casino. Not so keen on this personally.
Still, best of luck to him.

  • Will probably look cooler when its played in and worn a bit and frankly its a lot nicer than the flame top SG's for 2018

Thing is he looks cool enough to get away with it. Put that on most people and they would look dumb.

  • It shows the step up Gc jr has made. First an epiphone  model, then a gibson.

Unfortunately, the next scene in his life story is less pretty. It is like a scene from 'Saw', and features an old man carving the letters "TM" all over his body with a blade and then dragging him around the floor of the custom shop.

Thought it said "gross yellow" for a second there ;)
Would have been closer to the mark.

I'm not quite getting the hate for the colour. If it was a Tele or a LPJ I doubt we'd be calling it horrific/gross etc?

3 P90s and a Gibson scale length is probably  what I'd choose for my own custom guitar. Ideal if you like Stratty sounds, but want a bit more meat.
Some of the gear, some idea

It's the fact that it looks gloopy and opaque.

    I prefer proper TV yellow:

You beat me to it.  I was going to say if it was a proper TV yellow and you could see some (or preferably a lot of) wood grain, it would be fine.

I've seen plenty of Teles and Juniors that are just as bright and opaque as this, but they don't seem to elicit the same revulsion. Funny what difference a body shape seems to make.

    Wis awarded.

That guitar only looks about a million times better than the GC version.

  • I actually think the GC Jr  SG will look great with a few years of use under its belt. Just needs some playing in and it will look the part.

Is that JoBo or Slash doing the carving.....??
