Matamp Minimat 2

I'm not sure if this should be here or in the making and modding section (which looks to be mainly aimed at guitar modding), but here goes...

The Minimat 2 has a single tone control. Does anyone know if it's possible to remove some of thie mids from this amp by modding the tone control. I presume it would be a resitor change or two, but I'm no expert?

Possibly. Depends how ambitious you are with an iron! The 2 isn't the easiest to work on. PM me.

Thanks for that, Hayden :-) I'm ok with a soldering iron, but in view of what you say here I think I'll hold off for a bit. I'm running through a little preamp DI at the moment which brightens it up considerably, so I'm happy to run it that way. It's nice to know that it can be done though, even if it is a little tricky :-)
