Sold my Kemper - good decision!

I seem to use my Kemper for only a Dirty Shirley sound. Its a wonderful piece of kit but, unless I'm going to do some serious gigging or recording (unlikely), it seems a bit unecessary. I find the effects programming, and general tweaking, a pain in the arse too. And it doesn't get used at home (Boss Katana 50 does the job there).

I've never played a real Dirty Shirley but I love the profile. So I am now wondering, sell the Kemper and get a Dirty Shirley? Or am I just being a fickle tit, likely due to boredom and a bit of general life frustration (long story)? Okay, I'll admit that the latter is very likely...

Kemper PowerHead, Remote, Matrix FR12P cab, Moog expression pedal, tons of profiles. Any help on price? Amp and remote boxed.

You may we'll find the real thing is less manageable than the .Kemper particularly at lower volumes, I'd try one first if I were you

A single Kemper Profile equals a particular drive and eq setting on a particular Dirty Shirley through a particular Cab fitted with a particular speaker profiled through a particular mic placed in a particular position.  Just sayin...

    And its volume independent.

  • Dirty Shirley is my best amp i have ever owned! It can do everything i need it to with no pedals...just a reverb in the loop.

Anybody help advise on pricing this up for sale?

PowerHead, Remote, all in warranty and boxed. Moog expression pedal, Matrix FR12P cab, tons of professional profiles.

Tried a few real amps today and just enjoyed it more. The Kemper is incredible but kind of joyless.

  • Kemper gone. Borrowed my old Egnater Rebel 30 Mkii and hooked it up with a newly-acquired Fractal FX8. I'm so much happier. It's more responsive, open and enjoyable. The direct to PA route is now somewhat worse but, given the lack of gigs in my life, it's hardly an issue.

I'll likely buy one again at some stage to record with but, for now, I'm happy.
