First up, the Blackbird...

Another purchase influenced by @Gassage...

Love this. Big, awkward and 12v power supply but man it sounds awesome in every settings. Real tube warmth - you cannot beat it.

The upshot of all this is that, sadly, my beloved Chase Bliss Brothers may now have to be sacrificed and sold...

Next, Analogman KOT. Always divides opinion, and this is a custom order beauty !
Red channel extra switch and 4 jacks to work with the Gigrig G2.

Stack superbly, and naturally with the Blackbird by the way...

I took a leap with the Effectrode; it's much bigger than I'd like really, but the build quality is amongst the best ive seen. Even the knobs feel taut and precise....

Now, I've always found the KOT a touch dark with my set up(s)... the beauty here is that the Blackbird has a superb EQ section, with even slight tweaks making an instinctive difference...

The blackbird cleans are amazing. Worth the price on their own. It's a cracking pedal.

As an aside, that long pedal supply/compatability list on the Gigrig site is no longer there. Annoying.

So tempted! Just had a look at the effectrode site and can't see how much current draw/mA is needed at 12volts

Hmmm, maybe I was being ultra positive. Not sure Gigrig can power it...

It needs 12vdc at 1A

Have been tempted by the Brothers also but the Blackbird for those tubes and Blackface cleans wins it for me... you said it feels like a solid pedal... do you reckon it would survive in a padded pedaltrain soft case?

Possibly... but the Supanova is centre positive... Blackbird is centre negative.

Maybe the reverse polarity would be needed too ? Ive got both - ill try later.

Excuse my lack of knowledge but is 1a 1000mA? now wondering if I'd be able to run the blackbird from my burkey flatliner SIX Jr at 12 volts @100mA ;
