Your current drive flavour of choice?

What's Hot

I've been using the BluesBreaker clone from Fredric effects almost exclusively for my low-mid gain stuff recently and I have to say it sounds fantastic into a Marshall with both my tele and LP. If I need a little extra girth I feed it with the Koko boost (in mid boost mode for leads). Gain is set to about 2 o'clock, tone at about 3 o'clock and level is about 3 o'clock. My only criticism is that all the action is in the last third of the knob sweep.

The general flavour of the BB is just great.

What's your current drive type of choice?

    Power tubes break-up.

    Not really, a Keeley OD.

Celmo Pimento. I have never *ever* seen it on anyone else's board. I love it.

I'm loving my Anarchy Audio Gold Class. I'm not sure how to describe it as it goes from "blackface-deluxe-ish" to "tweedy" but it's the blackface end that I particularly love

Strymon sunset. It's killed my overdrive gas which I'm rather sad about.

    Strymon Sunset here too.

I'm looking at getting the little Strymon mini switch so I can set it up for my Strat & tele, as they share settings nicely, and  set a "favourite" sound up with different settings for my Les Paul.

    Strymon Sunset for me too!

What a fantastic overdrive it is, I believe my search for the perfect overdrive is over. It'll do mild boost to balls out rock at the drop of a hat, it pairs really well with my JTM45, I really couldn't ask for a better pedal.
Tomorrow will be a good day.

Still using my Prince of Tone, always on boost.  Trying to resist temptation, as the Sunset sounds a great option.

Having a lot of fun with a MarkBass Mini Dist pedal at the moment. Got a thing for guitar through bass pedals and G12H-55's.

Superfuzz into a Bad Horse into a Big Muff is giving me a biting raw sound at the moment and with a touch of plate reverb for the epicness.

Mainly playing electric at home at the moment so I'm using a Friedman be. It's got a lot of gain and eq options. Out I generally use a klon.

Strymon Sunset for me currently. I'll be hooking it up to me Boss ES 5 as soon as get the EA SIS plugs delivered. I'll be able to switch to the favourite setting using that then :)

Amptweaker Tight Drive Pro is still my go to. Does everything from very light boost to medium distortion really well. It doesn't have the cool factor some other drives have, but it's the only overdrive I've ever really connected with.
