NGD and one very important question

Hi guys after few months of searching I picked up a Gibson les Paul standard yesterday! It's a 2013 model although looki g at the serial number I think it was actually made in 2012. 

But now I have a first world problem does my Gibson Les Paul look better with or without the pickguard?!

With coverd pickups and a 'burst finish I prefer pickguard on. a solid colour with uncovered pickups I prefer pickguard off.
