Kabl is shut ! - who do I use now ??

I've just got the need for some new amp to cab cables, my go to of Rob from Kabl is over, I've just seen Kabl is shutdown (although I will mail him to see if he'll still do the custom orders like his website says).

I loved Robs work and loved to support a business like Kabl, now that he's shut, who is my Fretboard approved alternative ?

Before using Rob/Kabl I used Award Session. I'm likely to go back to them next time i need something

I use http://www.rock-wire.co.uk/ and they are VERY high quality for reasonable prices.

I've been getting my patch leads from the US, which sounds daft, but I love that you can just order the exact length you want from a number of jack plug options. And the UK seems to be obsessed with those horrible bulky Neutrik connectors. They are very quick to ship, the quality is superb, and even with postage, customs etc, it works out about £12 - £15 a patch cable (with quality cable and switchcraft / GHS plugs)

Most guys like myself stick with the Neutrik connectors because they are by far the most reliable in gigging situations. Almost all other brands use a crimp connection to fix the solder tags to the jack, the Neutrik's are one piece and the connector it's self never fails because of it

I put £4 labour charge on top of the cost of the parts for the cables I sell so pretty competitive

Also the strain relief on Neutriks is much, much better than on anything else.

Designacable are who I use and they often have a decent amount of stock on Amazon Prime, impatient types that we are!

This chap is the basschat version of Kabl. Thoroughly recommended.

I have had several of the Neutrik right angled silent plugs fall apart. The were a good number of years old though.

I generally make my own, but I've also bought a few from Designacable. Not the cheapest (compared to making my own ), but very good quality.
