aged tv yellow finished

I say tv yellow in the loosest possible sense as its limba body and neck that had really dark streaks and other minor wood flaws so i had to go more in the banana direction but after ageing its totally changed the look for the better, i like this guitar
I also darkened down the bubinga fretboard and looks much better

That looks pretty cool.  Not sure about the shape of the pick guard though (even if it is "correct" for a LP Special) - they look a bit odd to me.

It's the correct shape pickguard and looks right to me, we all have different tastes which is good

It's the correct shape pickguard and looks right to me, we all have different tastes which is good

I really like it but I do have an aversion to very yellow juniors/specials after refinishing a canary yellow 59/60

Did you consider wood bleach first - It can work really well

Now I've done it I really like it but I did think I'd overdone it
i couldn't bleach it as the wood had really bad dark mineral streaks plus some sort of knot looking imperfection so I couldn't get the grain fill to look right so I just did that 
it's much better looking now it's been aged IMO, I'll get round to doing a proper one at some point but my dc junior I'm doing now is going to be Pelham blue
