  • Love the video on the first track @west .  That looks a lot like Norway, very atmospheric.

It's been a long time since I've heard Wendy and Lisa, nice choice

OK, not quite the "favourite track" thing, but here is the album containing The Life, very '80s, and the first after leaving his royal purpleness, posted for anyone curious to hear a bit more.

And this is my favourite album from them, good to hear it again.

I think they are heavily into TV and film music nowadays.

I absolutely love this song, they were on stage just before a band I was in when we played the Cavern Pub in Liverpool ages ago - I loved the song then, bought the CD from the band and still adore it today.

I know nothing about the band, but it really doesn't matter :)

Oooh good choice -- that's got the single "Waterfall" on it which I love.  Listening to it now.
    Haven't heard it in years.

  • 2-3 weeks after my last post in the thread... my favourite track, if it was not back then, is now/still is "Meadow" by Stone Temple Pilots, followed closely by Tax The Heat's "All That Medicine"

Shame.  Their song, Concrete, reminds me of early U2 with Malcom Owen from The Ruts on vocals.  I can't stop playing it..... the rest of their output isn't quite as good but there's potential there....

Changing circumstances lead me to a more pensive mood.

Japan performing 'Ghosts' from their 1981 album 'Tin Drum' on the Old Grey Whistle Test in 1982. Guest musician: Ryuichi Sakamoto

SORRY I didn't realise you have to go to YouTube to watch the OGWT version, so I've posted the album version below it.

Well, that was going just fine, listening to Japan "Ghosts" again, when Mrs Music interjected "I know it isn't, but that sounds like Duran Duran"   :o    Killed it stone dead !

    Nothing against Duran BTW.

Sad thing is, I could just imagine the next track being "Rio"       ^#(^
