Which Gibson Les Paul neck type........

What's Hot
...Is closest to the slim fast necks I'm used to on my Ibby shred machines.

I get that by comparison they're a totally different animal but what is the nearest I'll get?
All the right notes, not always in the right order!

    I’m guessing a 60’s slim taper. I think that’s the thinnest you’ll get.

On current models I’d agree with this - some Norlin era ones ones I’ve played have been thinner still. Necks seemed to be far less standardised on older guitars.

the 60s neck profile i found the thinnest. thinner than the slim profile one I had tried.

strangely I think I prefer the thicker necks now.

  • The 2015 classics have a wider nut width but still a 60s, so more like a Wizard. I grew up with a slim neck Jackson and find it very easy to swap between the two, and I'm very neck sensitive (I can't play regular Strats).
