A Les Paul axcess is one of my most gigged guitars - different feel to the others but very easy to play.

I thought it would look horrific, but actually that one in the OP is actually quite subtle.

The Les Paul Axcess is a brilliant guitar - a rare example of Gibson getting it right in the modern era.

Have to agree, I don't like trems at all, but they took a Les Paul and made it to fit a different market, and done an excellent job of it, the neck join on them is a revelation.

That's the best Les Paul I've ever seen.
Massive improvement that distracts from the 'Fat-Arsed' look of an LP.

    Top Marks.

If it upsets The Crusties, it's good enough for me. Though if I were to go down this road, I'd be paying Johnny Feline a visit.

There was a similar thread not long ago, but....

Yes they can be spoken together and that LP looks brilliant.  Even though I don't actually like Floyds.

  • Very cool @FelineGuitars ! I love the idea of a Floyd with Gibson scale, I believe the EVH brand do a mega-expensive version of the Wolfgang called the Custom with that.

Slightly.       There is a bit of variation between models anyway and the axcess has a lower angle than my standard but that also has a flatter neck angle compared to my custom.
The body is also a little thinner (but not enough to bug me like the custom lite models) so that gives enough to let the Floyd routing work.    It’s a very clever design imo.

I prefer the Kahler trem on Les style guitars like Steve Clark, but I do like the Axcess

My head said brake, but my heart cried never.

  • I really like Les Pauls and I really like Floyd Rose bridges. A few years ago they did the Les Paul studio shred model which I am always on the look out for. The thing I like about the studio shred model is there is really very little "shred" about it bar the Floyd Rose. It has a 50's neck profile!
