  • There's a Jap Jazzmaster neck kicking around somewhere for £200. Could try retrace my steps if you're ineresed?

  • another way around getting a decent 24" scale 'fender' neck for not much money would be to buy a new squier affinity mustang for £100 and then sell the body/hardwear to someone looking for a mustang project (here, reverb, offsetguitars, etc).
may be an idea maybe worth considering if you don't find one quick and cheap.

jazzmasters are generally 25.5", jaguars 24", so not sure that would work.

Just tune down a semitone and capo at 1st fret. Sorted. :)

Thanks all for the input, I’m steering towards an all rosewood custom Jag build now so have limited my options even further!

  • Looking for a decent Fender Jag neck? You and me both, pal!

There's a guy on the offsetguitars.com forums called Rexter who's worth speaking to. He's based out near Norwich. He's ordering a bunch of allparts jag necks. Can have them finished for about £180/£200 I think he said, nitro, various tints, poly, whatever you like. Plus his custom colour body finishing is top notch if you're looking to do a custom build.

Let me know if you can't get in touch with him via the forum, I might have his email somewhere.

    No, it would not.

    1) The neck pockets are different.
    2) The bridges are positioned sufficiently differently that it is beyond the range of adjustment to compensate for this using the saddle positions.
You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.

Yep cheers Simon! I'm here too, though not so prolific. That order will be going in on Friday, if Jag necks needed, let me know!
