Yeah, a significant increase on the Smallbox 50, but it does have a lot more tonal features/options I suppose.

I wasnt really looking for one to be honest but had to give it a whirl. this amp can do nearly all the tones of the other amps he makes , i can make it sound like a jj/smallbox be100, The clean is the best clean ive had on a head and i could use this amp for my rockabilly band  no problem with this clean channel, Sorry guys you will have to buy one new like i did!

Despite its many knobs, it's the same width as the Smallbox, not the BE-100.

Now you only have to worry about the price.

Master/Gain 1 and Master/Gain 2 knobs are around the 'wrong' way or is it just me?

Done my first gig with the Be50 last night and live it just slays, For 50 watts its bloody loud and sits in the mix perfect.

Clean channel once you get it over halfway starts to break up and have a bit of edge to it , the gain channels are superb and not as smooth as the original BE100 which in a live mix i always had problems with and why i preferred the ss100 and jj100 to the BE100 live.

 I would say this is definitely the best friedman of the bunch so far and i have owned all of them at one point or another and this can cover so much ground with ease and it sounds absolutely superb, I can easily get the gain and agressiveness of the JJ100 on the Hbe mode on the amp and all points inbetween

The are expensive thats for sure but imho worth it.
 If you can get down to peach go play one
