I have several, in various states of excellence or disrepair.
    1) The Squier VM P Bass alnico unit from the red Squier that is currently my forum avatar thumbnail, as new.
    2) Charvel-logo generic Korean object, necessarily modified to four-con + shield output cable.
    3) Bill Lawrence USA EB-60P (the blade type from after Bill ceased to trade under his own name).

If you can hang on for a week or so, I might have a Wilkinson P pickup.

  • I can wait. It's for my first bass and it doesn't really justify anything expensive.

@Shark_Eyes I now have the Wilkinson P pickup. It doesn't sound all that special. More importantly, the screw lugs on the ends of its plastic covers are larger than standard, requiring modification to most pickguards and, in some cases, routed cavities. The pickup is going into a Bitsa that I am about to dispose of locally.

I do not feel able to inflict the Wilkinson pickup upon you.
Instead, I am willing to cut you a deal for either the Squier or the Bill Lawrence pickups mentioned in my previous post.

  • Thanks for the details and remembering about this. I'll take the Bill Lawrence pickup if possible. I'll PM you now!

The Squier pickup uses alnico rod magnets. The lumpy thing underneath each bobbin is a compressible foam pad for height adjustment. Sounds pretty convincing.

£15 on its own or the same £25 deal if combined with one of the Squier VM Jazz Bass pickups in my OP.

    SOLD LOCALLY

@Shark_Eyes Did you install the Bill Lawrence pickup? More importantly, did you like it?

It appears that neither of us got around to awarding trading feedback.

  • I haven't had a chance yet, a boatload of DIY projects took up all my time. I'll do a M&M post about it when I finally get round to it.
Good spot I shall do it right now!
