This place is bad for your wallet. I had a look back through Photobucket; since being on here, by board went from this:

hey guys, you don't need anything more than the ES-5/8 and a cable .. they can control analog switches (like the strymons) directly. I'm using a TRS cable on Ext CTL 1/2 to control both Flint favorite preset and the Tim's boost channel and a normal cable on Ext CTL 3/4 to control El Capistan's favorite preset

Nice! Didn't know there was external control jacks on the ES units. Great stuff. Although, I would need three ext ctrls!

Get an es8 then, 6 controls over 3 trs sockets, plus expression sockets. The 8 works better with stereo two. If you are using Strymons with MIDI you are better using that, any one of the presets assignable at the touch of a button. Far easier than tap dancing

I just took a look at my compressor controls and the attack and release are at opposites with a quick release and short attack, plus blending the dry signal. I wonder how much the SR goes to imitating something similar. How would you define its compression?

That's an amazing board, but I have no idea how you go about using it live.

@monquixote it's easier than you'd think; it's rigged in a way where the Space is also a midi controller, so I write presets per song on the Space and H9. It sends program changes to the H9, and also midi clocks in my MF104M delay times, and my Infinity Looper. 

Lifting it is the biggest challenge!

Dont think it goes anywhere towards imitating it to be honest mate. Think they are fixed. Sounds great to me, similar sounds from Cali and SR as far as i can tell. Obviously with the differences between tweakability and dual compression. Sorry, nit sure how to articulate it much more than that.
