G&L Tribute Fallout in sonic blue for £300. Punches above its weight.
Agreed, I dont own one but they are great.

    Mine:
EH have a reputation for unreliability but their memory toy is a great sounding true analog delay.

    Fender bass and guitar strings

Nobels ODR-1, really great with bridge single coils. If you play with buckers then stack a td/sd in front.

Revelation guitars, particularly the thinline jazzmaster

A Seagull Merlin... a sort of Appalachian dulcimer. It’s great fun. It cost about £120 I think.

TC Afterglow chorus and Mooer ElecLady - both cost about £2.50 and go as far as flange and chorus need to for my occasional needs, both very impressive.

Thank you Phil for thinking of me, I'll had be a look though the lack of master volume or reverb may be a factor... Worth a look though me thinks, thank you :)

  • Riffstation app. It gives you a scrolling chord chart for your favourite songs allowing you to play along, even letting you add a capo to change key etc.
Best of all, there's a free app version for iOS.

    That's a bargain!

A well used Pod 2 I got earlier this year. Not really into pedals, this little red thing makes some interesting sounds. Must try it into a PA amp...

I use a NiteLite Junior which is very effective on the volume.  Buy a good pedal for the reverb.

Squier Bullet Strat, hundred squid and it plays great.  I actually own one of these and like it a lot more than my 2003 Mexican Strat.  Go up the range to Classic Vibe, and you are in hog heaven...

Bargain of the year remains the Boss Katana 50, everything the amateur/home player needs for £170.
You are the dreamer, and the dream...

  • Not strictly ‘budget’ - but certainly ‘affordable’ - old Boss pedals. I’ve acquired a Japanese CS-2 compressor and a Taiwanese CE-2 Chorus recently - both sound superb.

I’m going to be really boring and nominate my Boss Katana. Slightly less budget on account of it being the 2x12 version but still utterly insane, ridiculous, impossible value for money.
Don't ask me, I just play the damned thing...

It's more the fact that my usual use cases would be a loud clean (as I'd only ever play quite clean in public as I play solo and overdrive doesn't work) and quieter drive for home.

Anyway, back on topic, I'll go for the Marshall Edward the Compressor pedal that I picked up for £22, decent, does what you'd think it does, and hurts sufficiently when you drop it on your toes.

Joyo American Sound. Katana. Yup, agree with both of those!
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

I think if you're talking astounding value or your hard earned buck, then JOYO pedals are the  winner. True bypass and really quiet in the chain.

Nothing clever enough for the WOW factor but I have a few and they don't disappoint.
