I've been meaning to put these up for a while now, so this is the time to start to compile another forum technique resource.  They are very interesting programs, and a great perspective on the music business.  Some very talented players get to appear, discuss stuff, and play too, so well worth watching (or even re-watching them if you've seen them before).  Enjoy...  D

I miss these, my big issue with them is the lack of regularity.  I understand they're both busy, but I want more more more

I guess it is a bit of a labour of love.  It must be a logistical nightmare putting them together, but I couldn't agree more about wanting a regular fix.  They carry great insight, and usually some pretty tasty, aspirational playing.  Always something to learn from the mixed perspectives of bringing great players together IMO.

  • The ones with Michael Thompson and Mark Lettieri are my favourite, especially the Mark Lettieri one.  That guy's sense of timing is insane.

Lettieri is a monster player. He's also an absolutely great bloke too.

The Lettieri one is my favourite. He really is an amazing player. His time sense, as already mentioned, is so good. Also, I really like that he's hooked into RnB, soul and hip hop playing. I think it gives him a take that just recycling the 1960s influences would not.

Lettieri is amazing, I caught him in Snarky Puppy.  Everyone in that band is just at such a high level.  Watching him in isolation with Tim and Pete put me in awe of his technique.  Definitely one to aspire to.

The good news is that episode is coming up on this thread in a bit, so one to look forward to  :)
