I’m thinking about putting an arcade button on the scratch plate of a Strat, but the decent buttons seem to be quite deep. Had anyone else done this? I’d measure it up, but the Strat body is at the car painters getting sprayed. Here’s a picture of the button.

  • Thinking about it, it looks like it might end up sticking out the back.

  • Old thread I know, but Japanese arcade buttons are much lower profile and while it will be tight, should fit in the depth of a standard control cavity. Look for Sanwa OBSF-24 (snap fit) or OBSN-24 (threaded nut).

Excellent. I haven't got any further with this, so that's a good tip.
