Larrivee OMO3 - Caring for the satin finish

What's Hot
Hi guys just bought one of these and I'm wondering what's the best way to care for the (satin) finish.

Anyone have experience of this?

I'm tempted to try some light polish but nervous of spoiling the finish.

Any thoughts ?

Cheers, Reg

Assuming its not drying out/has problems Id do nothing - I have one satin finish and I never use anything other than a dry dusting brush.

I only ever polish my gloss finished guitars

I 'guess'  a very light oil could be used if you thing the wood needs feeding..........

just because you don't, doesn't mean you can't

I have a Taylor with a satin back, sides and neck and it doesn't seem to attract any kind of dirt or fingerprints. Never felt the need to clean it, and of course they do warn you not to apply any kind of polish or oil anyway.

I try to stick to the hot breath and soft duster method with all my guitars. If anything more is needed I use Gibson guitar polish, but on a satin finish you may end up polishing the satin too much and making it go more glossy in places, which would spoil it. I speak from experience here.

    Maybe email Larrivee for advice?
