Gary Moore’s cover of Emerald. Wow.

I recently bought the remastered CD of ‘After The War’ after owning the original for many years and noticed the bonus tracks on there including Emerald. What a great cover but I was totally blown away by the solo at the end, one of his best in my opinion. Worth a listen for those who haven’t heard it before.

That’s a great cover, but for me it comes nowhere near the power and passion of the original.
I much prefer the dualling between Robbo and Gorham in the solo.

I still really miss Phil Lynott, and Gary of course.

If I could play half as great as Gary does, I'd be one happy guy... but this cover doesn't do it for me.

This is a great track from a great album.  I love Gary Moore, great player and he was great live.
