Digitech Trio into a Vox VX-1 - Distorted

I have just bought a Digitech trio and initially when I tried it out through headphones it was brilliant, however when I ran it through my Vox VX-1 amp it was horrible.

The guitar comes through clear as a bell, but the pedal effects are distorted and muddy.

Any advice from those more experienced would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I put my Trio+ through the AUX IN on my amp. I actually use the headphone socket on the Trio+ which means that I can use it's volume control to balance the levels with the guitar. Hope this helps.
One day I'm going to make a guitar out of butter to experience just how well it actually plays.

    Thanks.

    So..........

Guitar goes into pedal and output of pedal goes into AUX input on amp.

    Is this what you mean?

You can separate the guitar and the drum/bass from the Trio by using the two separate outputs at the same time.  Put the Drum/bass into the aux, and the guitar into the normal input.
