Very windy here in Rotherham. Really loud, didn’t sleep very well at all. I really hate windy weather!
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

Winds apparently 70mph along Hampshire coast last night and some more this morning.  Fairly standard stuff down here though.

Why did we have to start naming bits of crappy weather ?
I don’t get it.  What possible purpose does it serve?
Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
Also chips are "Plant-based" no matter how you cook them.

Surely you need to know which bugger took your fence?

  • (Relatively) nice morning in Edinburgh, clear skies (suns not up yet) and a light breeze. Thinking about going for a run/ride.
Im sure it'll hit us tomorrow as I'm supposed to be taking the kids to the zoo- which is on a big hill.

I never knew it was so recent but I was probably getting them mixed up with the tropical storm naming system which has been used much longer but is similar.    I liked the old system, just because ‘The great storm of 1987’ sounds much better than ‘Storm Hector’  but can see some use in having pre planned names rather than random things as they come.

EDIT.  Forgot to give a report from my Stockport location.  Our wheelie bin lid has flipped open and there is some litter blowing around.  Somebody on FB has posted the usual meme of Gail from Coronation Street with big muscles.

    Then creeping on towards me,
Licking lips with tongues of fire.
A host of gold and demons,
    Screaming lust and ways desired.
And when it seemed for certain,
That the screams could get no higher.
I heard a voice above the rest,
    Screaming you're a liar.

    But its alright Lady Eleanor,

"Eleanor* gee I think you're swell,
And you really do me well,
You're my ride and joy, et cetera"

Southampton. Looked out kitchen window this morning, and was pleased to see fence had survived.
Looked out window again 30 minutes later when loading breakfast things in dishwasher, one fence panel down. Arse.
Can't sing, can't dance, can handle a guitar a little.

  • I’m normally a very heavy sleeper however the storm woke me at 02.15 this morning trying it’s best to come through the bedroom window!
Must admit I felt a little uneasy, made worse hearing something roll down the roof and hit a car in the street.
On checking later at first light, it was a little chunk of lead flashing still sat on the roof of a neighbours car which I removed. How there was no dent is beyond me.

I have some work in a gallery in St Ives and saw on instagram that the sea had smashed the gallery doors in and flooded it. It looks quite bad from the photographs. Quite a lot of damage to ceramics and sculptures. I have no idea if my work has been damaged or not yet :( A totally crap start to the new year for the owners and a worry for everyone with work there.
