Samsung SmartThings home automation kit

I've been thinking about getting some home automation kit, mostly for security purposes. This starter kit is reduced to £140 in various places just now, which is a good saving. But it makes me think it's about to go out of date and not be a wise investment.

I'd also want to add Netgear Arlo cameras. Not the pro ones, there ludicrously expensive.

Food for thought, Samsung generally reduce when a new version/model is coming out

Fair comment, but Samsung haven't reduced it themselves

Im using Google Home, operates TV, lights etc, haven't bothered with cctv as Im led to believe that the budget wifi cameras are pretty poor should you actually need to use the footage for anything serious.

Ive got some Sonoff wifi bits coming for additional control , then possibly try Nest stat.
