First of all - a very happy new year!

Up for grabs is a unique 2011 Gibson Les Paul '60s Tribute. A lot of love went into this - looks awesome, plays great, and tonally it kicks butt, but truth be told I mainly spend my time with my strats nowadays, so it's currently going unused and deserves a better home.

Couple more pictures here: https://imgur.com/a/25mb4 - (if you need to see anything specific, do let me know and I'll take a snap).

So a little bit more about this beauty - the top has been stripped back to reveal the awesome cap, and the bridge pocket has been opened up to fit a humbucker. With a Gibson P90 in the neck and a Bare Knuckle The Mule in the bridge, this thing sings and shouts gloriously.

Both caps on the pots have been upgraded with Bare Knuckle PIO ones. The neck has been sanded down slightly to play super smooth and the frets still have heaps of life in them. Comes with original Gibson packing slip, gig bag (little rip to the top between the zipper and the bag fixed now!), and pick guard. Has got a fresh set of D'Addarios and is ready to play!

N.B: I'm looking for £550 in cash, and a face to face trade. I'm based in central London, where you're very welcome to swing by and test this upon purchase.

More details:
- Body: carved maple top, mahogany body.
- Finish: stripped top, cherry back and neck (nitro).
- Neck: quarter-sawn mahogany neck, 60's SlimTaper profile.
- Fretboard: 22 frets, baked maple, 12" radius.
- Neck PU: Gibson USA P90.
- Bridge PU: Bare Knuckle The Mule.
- Hardware: 14:1 vintage style tuners, nashville tune-o-matic bridge,  stopper tailpiece, upgraded speedknobs.
- Weight: 3.4kg / 7.5lbs (chambered).

Any questions - please do shout!

Thanks - I love and as I said it kinda pains me to see it go, but I'm hoping I can find a good home for it. It sounds too good to spend its life in a gigbag...

I know, same to me - but according to Gibson, it isn't. So I'll go with that.

I'm pretty sure Gibson started using baked maple in earnest in late 2011 (August/September-ish).  Yours was stamped in March, and it sure as hell looks like rosewood.

I think Gibson didn't really start using that until around the same time - late in 2011.
