My autistic son seems to just bite them off with no pain or ongoing problems, but then he casually told me once he thought he had heard his hand break st school, I took him to the doctors and he had broken three bones.

You could give it a whirl.
One of my autistic service users is apparently incredibly resistant to pain. She got pregnant ( by other service user) and only when almost at the point of giving birth did she actually ask for pain relief.

Rub a potato in them and bury the potato.

    Or get them frozen off.
The potato thing we actually tried when my son had a wart. Suffice to say it didn't work. Sometime later I was digging in the garden and found a whole bunch of potatoes. We realised they must have grown from the warty one and couldn't bring ourselves to eat them.

I ended up with skin cancer thanks to a wart virus that went bad, fortunately for you that is pretty rare, cutting off the whole hand would solve it for you, but then you would need to leave the forum too.....

Or get the "at home" freezing kits. You can get one with 10 applications for less than a tenner from Boots. I have one on my toe which I am trying to get rid of. I kind of really like the feeling when I apply the frozen nitrogen to it. If it is old, it can take several applications in which case the doctor will probably be able to do it faster.
Yeah I think whatever the docter uses is much more potent.

I did mine using a belt sander at work. It hurt like fuck and it grew back in the same place. I do not recommend that method.
Ooh.  Good idea, been wanting to get rid of this nob wart for ages.

I previously tried Bazuka and subsequently gaffer tape, but neither worked for me on foot warts (picked up at a swimming pool). I got a GP referral for the surgery nurse to apply liquid nitrogen - six visits got them removed.

Bastard.  You know that feeling when you think of a funny response to a post and scroll down hoping nobody else has done it, then get to the last post and BAM... there it is.  :p
Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.

I had quite a few on my right hand plus one on my left knee that I’d had for ages, not sure what happened, but they all disappeared by themselves so now I don’t have any. :)

There are a couple of small studies to support the gaffer tape method. Eventually your immune system will sort them out by itself.

I got fed up with treatments taking forever when I was a kid. I got another on my thumb last year and it was in a position I would unconsciously pick at it.

I heated a pointed small sharp knife on the gas ring until red and carefully burnt it off. You just need to concentrate on the centre. I need to reheat the knife a few times may be 8 times.  Only the last 2 hurt a bit the rest were fine pretty much like dead skin. I probably scorched 1 to 2 mm area in the centre of the wart.

Pain was gone in the morning.

think that's taking the burning the wart out a bit too far.

Poor witches, 1st they dunk em, then they heat them up. Hard life.

I'm not locked in here with you, you are locked in here with me.
