Matteo Mancuso (shred warning)

What's Hot
This guy has the most impressive technique I have seen of any rock guitarist in a long time, plus Dweezil Zappa wants to work with him.

Wow, never seen anyone use their fingers to pick like that before .... was he a frustrated bass player in a previous life ?

Over to you Troy, crack the code on that then :) :)

Not sure about bass, I'm guessing a strong classical background.

  • Interesting technique, looks like two finger I/M flamenco style picado finger picking.  Not seen an electric player pick do such a thing.

    He plays jazz as well.

    Superb Django work there.

How old is he?  Looks incredibly young.

I think he's probably mid to late teens.  The guy is so good it's mad.

    Agree.

I can appreciate the ability to play the shred but it doesn't really appeal to my tastes, but the Django does.  His use of picado to play the arpeggios at 0.15 or so is a delight to watch/listen.
