I looked at the manual and jeez, it seems a complicated thing.

It's a pedal you only 'get' by playing with it, but the three modes are distinct enough that you pick it up incredibly quickly. Still my fave and never to be sold.

It’s actually not all that complicated and as mentioned above once you get your hands on it it’s relatively simple to use. It’s an endless box of possibilities and I loved the one I had but it’s incredibly difficult to reproduce sounds with these types of things and thats ultimately why I let mine go. You’d come up with something great at a practice/rehearsal and come next week you’d never be able to do it again.

Every time they go on sale I’m tempted though.
    How very rock and roll

  • I think just having a Particle is enough crazy for me... though I might wait for a FBer to get one and find it too mental and sell it on here.

Ottobit is my crazy pedal but the ct5  always nags at me to try one.

This is quite a good demo of some of the things it does:

    Im of the opposite view...

Very hard to relicate a sound once youve found it, and almost unusable in a rehearsal/band situation. I could never get my head around it !

Might just be me though :)

I just found it like everything else that doesn't have presets, I take a quick phone photo and then use that for knob reference. My favourite use for it in a live context is mode 3, making a weird chord or noise in the right key and then slicing it up or backwards or whatever. It's a much more interesting bed to play over than what you get from a Superego or a Freeze.

Thanks for posting that. I had dismissed it from the other demos I've seen, but this has reignited my interest.
    I think, therefore.... I... ummmm........

If anyone needed any more convincing, there's a CT5 in here somewhere . . .
