The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

Awful music and it's all the same 80's hair vibe thing without the humour. Can't we have a demo that shows off a few nice Knopler clean tones, then maybe a bit of a John Mayer type vibe, then a bit of Ian Thornley, maybe some Brad Paisley.

The whole point of a multi effects is it should be able to sound a bit like everyone but that demo does nothing to show that.

Mind you if the drives are anything like the ones in my GT10 then I can understand why

Would you use this instead of buying separate Boss Dd500, mv500 and rv500 pedals?

No actually I have got used to it being flat and motionless. It' you daft lot that think you're on a spinning ball spinning 1024mph whilst going 67000mph around the sun at the same time as our so called "milky way galaxy" hurling through "outer space"  at 515000mph yet you  cant see it or feel it or perceive it in any way. But you believe it cos some so called science book/teacher said so. Now who's stupid? lol

It's slightly cheaper, so if you wanted all three of those, and if it copies *everything* from those pedals and doesn't limit the order you can run them in, it would seem a sensible choice given how much other stuff you'd also get.

Chances are that you'll be limited in *some* way though- each of those pedals give you eight assign functions (read the manual- really cool stuff), and I doubt the GT-1000 will have 24(!), so if you were already familiar with those pedals and used the assigns a lot you might not want to switch.

It's probably worth waiting for the manual to appear on the Boss website to see exactly what you can do with the GT-1000 compared to the xx-500s.

Don't talk politics and don't throw stones. Your royal highnesses.

his demos are great and  he makes great patches too.  I bet he will have some great ones for sale on his website once the GT-1000 is released.
