So, who uses a foot stool for non classic practise?

Nope, if I'm sitting down the guitar will be supported by the strap, but resting on my left leg, puts the guitar in the right position for me whether I'm sat, and when I stand the guitar will be in the same position, keeping everything (roughly) the same........

I don't personally but my mate always uses a stool for practice.  He's a dwarf and can't get the guitars down off the wall hangers without it.

I sometimes use a monitor as a footstool on stage (but only when I'm utilising a knowing post-modern irony)

I don't even use a foot stool for classical practise

foot stalls remind me of going to classical guitar lessons when I was 10 and not wanting to really be there.

Footstools are illegal for electric guitar.
