Yeah I have that one, great pedal, but noisy when you have both the volume and drive up.

I ordered the Joyo California and British sound pedals for a mere £34.95 each.  I'm going to try and them and return whatever one I don't like or maybe I'll end up keeping them both.

  • The XVive Golden Brownie is meant to be a hot-rodded Marshall thing, and seems to get good press. £50-ish.

The old red Danelectro FAB distortion is worth a try too. It does quite a cool fuzz sound if you give it 4.5v too...

Don't talk politics and don't throw stones. Your royal highnesses.

Jackhammer....or that Tone City  marshall in a box..the big gold one forget the name.

Or 2 £30 overdrives and stack em when you want a solo tone.

You don't need to spend near 100 squids for this job to be done well...

May I suggest that some people on here have unrealistic valuations of secondhand pedals and with Amazon deals etc there is sometimes a small price difference between new and used allied to the chance to return it if it doesn’t quite do what you want

Depends what your after - I use a Joyo Ultimate Drive and a Mooer Black Secret. Both cheap. Both on Amazon. However I would buy elsewhere.

dont disagree re some sellers estimations of their goods worth - but you then make a choice based on what you want to pay ..
if amazon is used as a test resource and a significant saving is to be made buying s/h then buyer could return to amazon n go s/h route too ..
Quick look at gumtree sub £100 distortion pedals was approx 120 units and some rather nice wampler n other higher end bits in there - which would be double price if purchased full retail ..

Do they take long to be shipped to the UK?

  • I bought stuff from Aliexpress and one pedal blew as soon as I plugged in power and the octave pedal I thought would be like the infamous Mooer Tender Octaver sounds like absolute garbage. The echo/delay is OK though to be fair. Took about three weeks for the first things to arrive and a couple of months for the last one to arrive
