Just traded in my Ovation Applause for an Ovation Ballardeer Standard at PMT Portsmouth. They did a very reasonable deal, I handed over the £220 on top of the trade. Very happy as these are £600 + new and it's almost mint.

Comparing it to the Applause it plays beautifully, dynamics are incredible and the neck is gorgeous.

But, the best thing about it is that it's the same colour and shape as my trade so the Mrs won't even notice it's a new guitar!

  • Dude, get that in the acoustic section!
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.
