Devin Townsend - Any good live?

I've only got one of this albums (recomended by @bucket ages ago back on MR).....and I've just seen he's playing near me in July (Leamington Assembly). So would I be a fool to miss it?

One of the three best gigs I've ever been to was a Devin Townsend gig.

So were the other two.

I did see him live singing with Steve Vai many years ago (they supported Aerosmith at the NEC). Ocean Machine is the one album of his I've got.

Saw him do a small acoustic show in the Borderline a couple of years ago and it was one of the best gigs I've seen - really good. And he sat down on the edge of the stage and chatted to every single person there on their way out. Including me - I have his autograph!

I seem to remember he did an acoustic version of a Strapping Young Lad song at one point, which was a little surreal.

Seen him 3 times, once acoustic and twice with the band. Each time superb. The guy is just an incredibly charsimatic frontman.

Great to see live. Saw the meshuggah/Devin Townsend gig at brixton. The new epicloud album is cracking and syl era is in your face in a good way. Check out his performance of Kingdom on EMG TV (YouTube). Vocally the guy is off the chart in terms of ability. It's be a great gig.....
