Didn't know where else to put this but great rig run down on Steve Stevens live setup.

Pretty much all of the rig rundowns from Premier Guitar are worth watching. (They have a Youtube channel, so they're all in one place for handy reference).

My favourites have not necessarily been from artists I like, they just have fascinating set-ups - Not least the new guy from Red Hot Chili Peppers, whose pedalboards are things of wonder.

Re: the Steve Stevens clip, watching this and also reading his recent interview in Guitarist magazine talking about his new signature guitar, he really knows his stuff and what he's after in a guitar... Seems like a nice guy, guitar geek like most of us on here.

+1 for the run down of the Chilli Peppers bloke. Not a fan of the band but that's a great rundown (and a mad board).

The Nels Cline (Wilco) is also worth a watch.

Can't get on youtube right now otherwise I'd post the clips.

I enjoyed the recent Billy Corgan one, found it especially enlightening after going to see the Pumpkins recently and squinting at the mystery boxes in his rack!

In the Dream Theater one the tech said he used to adjust truss rods whilst John and John were playing, but he's managed to get them used to just between songs...

some of the more obscure ones are the best, i remember the Meshuggah one where it's all Axe FX with the changes all pre programmed and controlled by pro tools on a laptop....imagine trying to fix that on the fly!

That was a good one, I much prefer the guitarist doing them to their techs.

The one with Joe Perry's gear is great, it's with his tech though. He has a wall of plexis. It is a thing of wonder.

Nice one, and a nice guy too, happy to show us around, took the time, plugged it in so we can hear, and talked it through well too.
And as @chrispy108  said, good to have the man himself, the techs can tell you stuff, the man can tell you why.

Steve Vai's is a great one, he's got a wicked sense of humour.

The one with Satchel from Steel Panther is hilarious.

Not very informative though, must be said.

This Vernon Reid one is completely mental. It's a marvel it ever works:

I saw that - I was a bit surprised to see a Jet City in the middle of it all, to say the least...particularly since it's the bottom-of-the-range one!

It just goes to show that it's about the tone and not the badge or the price tag.

Aye. Not only is it in his live rig, but it's the main amp for his studio rig too.

The Joe Perry rig is mental! I don't envy his tech, setting all those Plexi's up every night!

    Terrible news about Rebecca Dirks...

Nice to see a lot of mainstream stuff in Vernon Reid's rig too, including a Zoom G3.

    Yes I thought that.

We all GAS for super high end stuff and Vernon Reid is playing huge shows with a G3 and an iPad!

The Joe Perry one is cool. Respect to him for playing it totally by ear.
