Meeting a few friends for lunch and heading to a pub for the Rugby tomorrow. 2.45pm kickoff. My Birthday is Sunday, so will be a bit of an early celebration, regardless of the score line.
Have a great day all!
we we will be spending the evening entertaining the masses with our versions of hits by some of the greatest Irish artists and bands... “stevie O’wonder”, “James O’brown“, “primal O’’scream” to name but a few!... may even throw in a couple by “Bono” (jovi that is)!...

IIRC, the only patron saint who actually hails from the country he's saint of is David. I seem to recall Andrew was a russian or something.
I'm not locked in here with you, you are locked in here with me.
Anyway, with a Great Grandma from the O'Donovans in Skibbereen, I feel perhaps 1/8 entitlted to wish @Rocker and everyone else a Happy St Paddy's Day. It's a good excuse to have a Guinness later on ...
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself
Anyway, hope everyone participating has a good day.
I'm going to celebrate tonight by going out for a curry.

The legend has it that Patrick escaped and ended up back in Wales. Following his studies, he had a dream to convert Ireland to Christianity. For that work he would not have ventured alone, probably had a large support group and lots of horses. His work was very successful though nobody believes that he was the first to attempt to bring Christianity to Ireland.
It id doubtful if he wore the clothes and mitre of a Bishop. And the snakes legend could not be true as it appears the ice age dealt with them. The image we have of Patrick is probably an artistic creation, painted hundreds of years after his time.
