What is this curious old(?) guitar?

Our bass player received this for repair from one of his guitar students. All we know is that it was possibly made in Indonesia. Any ideas?

@HarrySeven ; might be able to shed some light on it, he's seen his fair share of guitar oddballs.

Sadly not - I tend to ignore acoustics! :(

  • Haha cheers for looking! I think it is destined to remain anonymous. Maybe I'll move this to the acoustic section..... :)

It's definitely not very old, or of any real quality - the bridge pin spacing is hilarious! Made in Indonesia sounds likely, but not from one of the major makers who have factories there.

What needs repairing? (Other than the string spacing...)

  • @ICBM I know, I took a close up of the bridge for comedy value!! It just has a tuner and the nut come adrift, and the saddle is a bit skew-whiff; then we have the decision of what strings to put on it that don't cause it to implode. :)

The owner has Indonesia connections in the family somewhere. It's for a young'un to practise on, doesn't play too badly actually! These kids show up with all kinds of shockingly bad instruments...
