it's an interesting idea, though that short vi didn't really show us anything. There does seem to be a shift in violin teaching over the last few years/decades away from this idea of just practise towards a more tailored approach around using efficient pratise methods, though whether or how long those will take to filter out from the teaching institutions to deepest, darkest devon I don't know. The thing about learning the violin family is that it's more reliant on the ear than pretty much any other instrument family, I'd like to see how the technology can help with that.
