I found this neat little guide this morning that offers detailed advice for DAW users on Windows giving in-depth guidance of setting to use to get the best performance out of your PC. Quite a bit of this stuff you can find in forums etc but this comes in pdf, epub etc format and is free. All the info in one well presented document.
