What do you recommend. New fuzz and vibe are in the post so trying to work out where they go.

1 Jam Fuzz Phrase (incoming)
2 Buffer jhs black box
3 Tuner poly tune 2 mini
4 Compressor bearfoot pale green
5 Xotic EP Boost
6 Micro amp+
7 OD Chicken soup jrad
8 Looper ditto mini
9 Vibe jam retro vibe (incoming)
10 Trem Jam big chill
11 Reverb mad prof silver spring
12 Reverb Boing Jrad

Thinking the compressor should go first looking at it? And where the hell would a delay go?

Thanks for any help!!

I'd stick the buffer first as long as your fuzz is buffer friendly, otherwise fuzz first then buffer. The compressor can go early in the chain if you want to compress the guitar, but not the effects. If you stick it at the end it will compress everything. I'm a big fan of modulation (including vibes) before drive, after always sounds a bit to grainy and less lush.

I have been using EP Boost early in my chain to give me extra boost/gain on my drive pedals, but I've now moved it to last but two in my chain and I find I much prefer the way it colours the tone of pedals as opposed to pushing them. Delays and reverbs generally go at the end, however as with all these things there is no definitive right or wrong. I always think "if it sounds right, it is right"!

@sgosden  sorry, I’m front, no loop. Thanks for your list!

@NorthernStomps yeah, I know lol. Bought one to replace the other and they both do waaay difernat things in the end so kept both.

@Octafish thank you! I’d never have thought of trying the vibe before drive. That said, I’m going to want that with the fuzz mostly (not buffer friendly as far as I know),  would that sway you to try the vibe first in the chain? Or keep it after buffer etc. Thanks for tip on the EP boost, I’ll try that. Looks like sgosden placed micro amp after of for that reason maybe. Been using the boost and micro amp to drive I’d currently.

    Thanks guys!

Also, dirt before buffer. Let the drives see the guitar.

Yeah in that case I'd put vibe first, fuzz, then buffer.
