I have the "lesser" version of this with the wrap around bridge and plain finish. I replaced the stock yamaha pickups with iron gear rolling mill neck and rolling mill overwound bridge. On reflection, the original neck sounded as good as the iron gear although I do prefer the aesthetics of shiny covered pups on a black guitar.
Slightly bigger body than a lp but contoured all around so very comfy and not too heavy. sensibly proportioned full neck too.
Sorely tempted with this. I'm curious as to how different the string through compares to a wrap around but house hunting and furnishing it is the priority for me.
This is a bargain of a guitar at a great asking price.

As far as I'm aware only the 420 came in solid black (but that had only 2 controls)

I think the 620 only came in transparent charcoal.

I think the 720 was slightly different as it had direct mounted pickups and looked more like the Drop6
