How to build from a Schematic

Hi All

I was wondering how do you make an actual circuit from a schematic diagram.

Simple question but i suspect it will not be a simple answer.

After over 1/2 a century of schematics I find those demented spider wiring diagrams of guitar internals or pedals totally baffling!

(WHY can't we post attachements ?....Again!) just wires up are the components lay. Get one of those solderless  "breadboards" for simple circuits. When you get to using ICs and stripboard  things get trickier but it is really just concentration and we ALL cock them up! "De-bugging" is part of the game!

Thanks for the replies,now you gonna laugh. I know a lot f the symbols used in schematics,but I have never known how to produce an actual working item from one. I found a circuit for the Amp section of a Meazzi echo,and I wondered if it was possible to make one. That's all.

I use the Lochmaster software for my vero layouts, and if you are after converting a schematic to a pcb - use Eagle, its free

It's straightforward to do provided you remember that circuit diagrams are about making it clear how things work, whereas layouts are about optimum placement of components.

Watch for common power supply points, look at how things are oriented and keep power supplies away from signal tracks.
