Running 18v-capable 9v drive pedals at 12v

For the Liquid Sunshine III at least, this works very well and makes more difference than I thought it would - really brings out the chime with single coils and puts a slightly crisper edge on the breakup with a bit more headroom for boosts.

I’d say in fact that there seems to be more difference between 9-12v than 12v-18v. Really handy to have all 3 voltage options with the Cioks - I’d like to get hold of a few more tweed style pedals to try now...

I run my Cali76CD at 12v too.

13.15v is the sweet spot.

I prefer both my Snouse BlackBox 2, and the Truetone VS-XO I had previously at 12V.  That seems to give just the right amount of extra body, while 18V was a bit too "hard"-sounding for me.

I’m surprised there aren’t pedals with a variable voltage control of some kind on the front.
