Anyone been watching this? No spoilers.

I thought the first series was great, while watching this last one I thought it was overly complicated and bordering on ridiculous but actually after the final episode came back round to loving it again.
Wothout giving anything away, loved the final scene and think the direction it's going in could be brilliant.

Anna Friel plays it well, but the Marcella Backland character just feels like a UK version of Carrie Mathison.

Both very troubled characters, Marcella's history is a lot darker though in typical British fashion. Not sure the US audience would like that, too flawed a character I think.

the whole of this S2 was to take the character into another dimension and we had to put up with pointless and irrelevant plot lines - WTF Kieth Allen doing in this? What the Vet doing? The Care Home Doc? The Peedo??  and Warren from 'This Life'...Pointless nonsense... And her awful Lezza shoes she schlepped about in too...

I watched it, and found there were too many loose ends left laying around, as 57deluxe said.

Also, Anna Friel isn't as hot as she used to be on the Chilli scale, she must have had botox in her top lip or something, it looks like an upturned shovel. Similar to Carrie Matheson, though.

Enjoyed the first six episodes and then it just became totally bonkers.The attraction up to then was trying to guess how the writers where going to tie the multiple threads together.

They've obviously not heard of the principle of Chekhov's Gun.

The third series has the potential to be interesting though,if done well.

We've got the finale of Season 2 to watch tonight. Not wishing to spoil it for anyone but we thought it odd that her ex husband seemed to just fuck off out of it mid series...

With so many plot lines I'd imagine most will find it a bit confusing. I did.

I wish they'd kept all the family stuff out of it and just stick to the case that she's investigating.

As a character I find her really annoying.

The above are all negatives but I actually quite enjoyed it. It's worth watching.

The finale was a bit far fetched but I would probably watch the third series as the premise of it was put forward in the last few seconds of the finale.
